A Drug Policy Reform Wiki

Welcome to a major experiment — an entire drug policy reform site created by participants.

What is a wiki?

A wiki is a continually growing set of pages that is created and edited by a community of individuals (the most famous example is Wikipedia (external link)) The advantages of a wiki include sharing the work and responsibility of a project throughout an entire community, while having checks and balances to insure that the best information and research is shown.

Be a part of it.

Register with a username, password and email in order to be one of the contributors to this project. (Note: You will receive an email when you register, and you'll have to click on a link in that in order to complete your registration, so check your spam folder in case you don't see it right away.) You don't need to have any technical knowledge — it's as easy as entering posts on a message board.

There are some specific ways of specifying formatting, such as italic (using double apostrophes before and after) or bold (using double underline before and after), etc., but the editing window will show you everything you need (each editing window has a "Quicktags" that you can activate for basic tags, and a "wiki help" that will give you a list of common commands.) But don't worry about it if you don't understand it. The most important thing is the information — others will be happy to jump in and help with formatting.

Want to try it out? Click on Sandbox in the Wiki folder at the left. You can practice without changing anything permanently.

Go to My Tiki home and enter your preferences. My Tiki is where you will keep track of the pages you are editing, and get messages from other users.
